This place serve the traditional food. Peanut sauce is the one of the ingredient. Does everyone know where we going? Okay, now we are going to Batagor Kingsley. Have you ever heard about this food?

In Bandung has a lot of local culinary uniqueness. Some of them are traditional, one of these food products are Batagor, acronym of Meatballs Fried Tofu, which is a food innovation that came from sundanese. Batagor is popularized by Isan in 1970. At the bigining Isan was selling Baso Tahu, in Kopo Bandung but he didnt make it out. Then he got an idea to innovate Baso Tahu by friying it. People like this fried Baso Tahu, and it turned out make a large profits so he named it Batagor it stands for Baso Tahu Goreng. Batagor is actually from Tahu (Tofu), which is a fermentation process of soya bean. And then inside Tofu have combined other ingredients which a mixed of kind of wheat flour and mackerel fish, after that steamed until its cooked. Later on, that Baso Tahu or Siomay are fried, and serve with peanut sauce. The ingredients of sauce is peanut, chili, and garlic. So, it becomes a Batagor.

Surprisingly, Batagor has become very popular in Bandung, and become on of the food icon. The most famous Batagor and haunted  by tourist in Bandung are Batagor Kingsley. It is located in JL. Veteran No.25. Batagor Kingsley have a big size and it serve with broth or with peanut sauce. This place is not only serve Batagor,  there also bakso yamin, mie kocok, es campur, es doger, and many more. The place is very simple, without air conditioner, and furnished with plastic seats. However, it is quite clean, and more importantly is the Batagor very delicious. The service of this place is great because they have much workers and also quick to service customers. You can take these Batagor as take away food for gift or souvenir. The price for a package of Batagor is RP. 32.000,- with 4 pieces of Batagor. Is quite expensive isnt it?
